This site has been set up through the effort of the Technological University of the Philippines - Visayas (formerly, Visayas Technician Institute) alumni, bounded with a mission to promote the tupvian ideals and aspiration - not only in their respected fields, neither on the industry they're in, but also by establishing a significant presence on the web, whereby they will be able to maximize their potentials and stretch out their capabilities... to serve each other in particular, and mankind in general.

History
In September 1999, an egroup was formed to connect the tupvian family via the internet, to help each other out in the industry. Silently, it were able to assist some graduates in finding jobs, current students for their SIT, reconnects old aquintances, and was even a means to technically support each other while pursuing our career individually.
In November of 2004, the web forum for tupvians was born. The site was very instrumental in providing on-time support for the students, alumni and to some significant few who are indentified with TUP-Visayas in one way or another. It emotionally helped those working far from home and did served as a second home in the internet.
February of 2006, a suggestion of creating a homepage to serve as an umbrella and portal for future tupvians' web quest, has been raised. A month of discussion, together with the selfless passion and dedication of the self created core group, acquired the domain name of www.tupvians.com and from there, continues to write its history. |
